FEES & PAYMENTS
1.1 Travel fees apply when events are more than 25 minutes from the Australind locality and will be quoted when booking. Travel rates are generally between $30 – $120 based on locality.
1.2 All bookings require a 25% – 50% deposit to secure your booking. The balance is requested preferably, on or before the day. Invoices have a 7-day term.
1.3 Some bookings may include an additional fee to cover extra time required for tasks such as inductions, form submissions, setup or pack‑down logistics or early/late bump‑in and bump-out.
1.4 Generally, service rates are from $110 per hour, minimum of two hours and part-thereof.
1.5 We (now) offer up to 2 heavy duty, branded gazebos to cover our staff at outside events. Our gazebos advertise our services in a bold, fun design to attract attention at your event. Hire price is $40 each.
1.5 Public holidays incur a 10% surcharge.
1.6 We accept direct deposit, credit card or PayID.
SETTING UP YOUR ARTISTS/ ENTERTAINERS AT YOUR EVENT
2.1 It is the responsibility of the event organizer to locate the artists under protected cover (shade, verandah, gazebo) if the event is outside.
2.2 Gazebo hire is available, see information in Fee’s & Payments for gazebo hire.
2.3 The artists need to be positioned on flat, clean ground where there are no hills or holes or sand.
2.4 The artists require a minimum area of 1.5m x 1.5m each to work in. A 3m x 3m gazebo does not shelter two artists successfully. Please consider room to move, room for your guests and the shade moving during the duration of your event. Gazebo sides fro extra protection may not be suitable on windy days.
AGREEMENT
3.1 SFFP is run by a team of artists/entertainers servicing many events. You will be notified of your artist before the day. Your artist will have all the information they need to carry out your event as planned. SFFP cannot control other artists’ cancellations but does endeavour to replace the artist for your event.
3.2 The minimum booking fee is 2 hours. This fee remains even if the client request less time.
3.3 The event organiser must be contactable on the day to provide assistance where needed.
3.4 The event organiser must provide a suitable space for the artist to work in, including out of the elements (wind, rain, heat, cold.)
3.5 Face painting and glitter tattoos service approximately 20 – 25 people in 2 hours. If a service goes over the agreed time, the customer will pay part-thereof. If the customer does not want this, they must tell the artist to finish on time and cut the line if needed.
3.6 SFFP service rates, include the time required for (local) travel, parking, setup and pack-down. Allowances need to be made for unexpected traffic, parking, setup/pack-down logistics. Please provide adequate information and assistance to ensure our service runs smoothly and on time.
3.7 SFFP provides a half hour meal break for workers booked for 5 hours or more. SFFP also provides 10 minute breaks after 2 hours as necessary. Please be aware of breaks during service hours. Face painting lines may need to be ended and re-started to allow for breaks.
BOUNCY CASTLE & WATER PLAY
4.1 Check if your bouncy castle waiver has a face painting specification.
4.2 Face paint is not waterproof and may run when a child is sweating from jumping on a bouncy castle.
4.3 Face paint is not suitable around water. Please tell SFFP if you have a pool or water play at your event, so SFFP can provide some alternative options.
HEALTH & SAFETY
5.1 SFFP artists are covered by 30M Public Liability Insurance and have current WWC.
5.2 The event organizer or parent/guardian is required to let the artist know if anyone has sensitivities or allergies.
5.3 The artist will not paint anyone who looks sick. This includes, but is not limited to, allergies, broken skin, coughing, sneezing, runny nose, rashes, red eyes etc.
5.4 SFFP provides quality control through approved products with Standards Australia (Cosmetic Standard) and FDA (Food & Drug Administration) fda.gov/cosmetics/cosmetic-products/makeup
5.5 SFFP complies with WA Work Health and Safety (Western Australia’s Work Health and Safety Act 2020) and WA Health and Safety Guidelines for Face Painters (health.wa.gov.au face and body painters)
5.6 All reasonable care is taken, however, if an injury or equipment damage occurs (due to guests or pets mishaps at events) the customer agrees to assist/attend injuries and/or pay for equipment damage. SFFP documents, investigates, and reviews incidents. SFFP complies with notifiable/work-related incident requirements. commerce.wa.gov.au/worksafe/report/incident.
PRIVACY
6.1 SFFP may take photos for private or public use. Consent will be gained from parents or individuals before using photos publicly for advertising or other purposes.
6.2 SFFP holds personal information relating to event bookings. SFFP will take reasonable steps to protect all personal information from loss or disclosure.
CANCELLATION
7.1 SFFP requires at least 48hrs notice of a booking cancellation. 25% of the deposit is non-refundable but transferable, so re-scheduling or a service credit is encouraged. Any booking without a deposit, will be charged 25% of the service fee when cancelling.
7.2 SFFP must be provided with access to a contact person for your event. In the case where SFFP cannot contact the event organiser and has reasonable belief that the event may have been cancelled or changed in some way, SFFP reserves the right to cancel the booking on the day and retain the non-refundable portion of the deposit.
7.3 SFFP will protect you by not attending your event if the artist falls ill. In the case where the artist falls ill, SFFP will provide another artist to replace them. A full refund will be provided only if a replacement artist cannot be sourced.
7.4 It is the responsibility of the customer to communicate with us if the weather may affect face painting. In the case where the weather is not ideal for face painting, (wind, rain, heat, cold) The customer is required to reduce the impact of the weather, by providing an alternate space, such as a more sheltered area or inside location. Once the artist / entertainer has arrived, the customer agrees to pay the full amount contracted.
